Senior Show Song Suggestions

ATTN: HHS Marching Band Seniors!

This is your friendly drill writer and Smigell's helper from afar! /wave from IL

The Senior Show Interest Form is now open for MB Seniors to submit any songs they want to play for their Senior Show.

Since this season is longer - we will be playing the show twice this season compared to the last few. (And since it starts later, we delayed music choices until now.)

You have until Wednesday, September 4th to fill this out.

Voting will be open Thursday, September 5th and Friday, September 6th.

Results will be posted soon later. Smigell has the right to veto any song if the arrangement doesn't work.

You can suggest up to three songs -- but you need to post the title, artist/composer and link to the song.

Songs MUST have a marching band arrangement - which is why it is up to you to search/listen to and find what YOU want to play. If a suggestion doesn't have a link (to either buy and/or listen to the arrangement), it won't be added to the voting round.

Hello Highlanders!!!

I am super excited about camp and the upcoming season (I really am!)! More info about that will be forthcoming.  I unfortunately goofed something up, however.  I had the squad leader list all ready and for some reason I thought I posted it.  Until this moment I have not.  So here it is:

Some thoughts:

1. The following people passed the squad leader test, indicated that they had no other after-school activities that would conflict with marching band, and agreed to attend both the SL clinic day and the newbie day next week (Thursday 8/8 and Friday 8/9 both 8:30am-noon).

These people did not meet one or more of the three criteria for becoming a squad leader and need to contact Mr. Smigell ASAP (smigellj@howellschools.com or text) if they wish to change their status.

If you don't see yourself on this list and think you should be there, please contact Mr. Smigell soon!

Again, my apologies for the late notice, it was bad memory, not laziness!
